The NUF Exam is good for 5 years if passed with an 80% or better and you have not had a break in the nuclear industry longer than 1 1/2 years. NRRPT certification will exempt SHP’s from having to take the exam as long as they are current on the quals and active. JHP’s do have to take and pass the NUF exam with an 80%.
If you need study material you may go to www.westrain.org or www.nukeworker.com.
On your first day, you will be expected to arrive at the Progress Energy Harris Visitors Center at 7am, also known as the HEEC. This building is located on New Hill Holleman Road which you will access from US Hwy 1, exit 89 (approximately one mile off of the exit). If you are arriving from the North, you will take a left hand turn off of the exit; from the south, a right hand turn. You will need to park in the available parking on the backside of the HEEC and enter through the side of the building (follow signs that direct you towards In-Processing). From there you will report to Auditorium “B” which is located just past the receptionist’s desk / lobby area back on the right. Orientation will be provided here by our Bartlett / Harris Site management staff identified below. During your time in orientation, we will interface with Progress Energy In-Processing and Training personnel to complete any badge and training needs. Our goal is to get you unescorted access to the site and have you fully qualified and trained within the first two days of your arrival.
