Bartlett Services Inc. is currently providing Professional and Technical personnel at the Savanna River Site in Aiken S.C.

The Savannah River Site is a 310 square mile site, is located in the south eastern coastal area of the United States in the state of South Carolina. It is bordered to the west by the Savannah River and Georgia, and is close to several major cities, including Augusta and Savannah (GA.), Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston (S.C.). It is in an area residents refer to as the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA).

Bartlett is in the unique position to offer year round work for Senior Rad Con technicians starting now.  SRS has agreed to work with Bartlett to schedule technicians to be able to report to SRS for training and work, transfer out to work the outage season, and return upon completion of the outage assignment.

Significant Benefits include:

Ø      Ability to manage insurance costs to the technician by limiting COBRA exposure

Ø      Accrued vacation time and personnel time can be used during transition

Ø      Long term work with the opportunity for outage overtime

Ø      Paid Holidays and personnel days

The integration of workers assigned to long term projects into short term outage support is a tried and true practice that give the individual not only the long term benefit of a steady income but also the benefit of outage work.     We evaluated key areas to determine impact on technician benefits and provided answers to frequently asked questions listed below

Frequently asked Questions

What kind of commitment do I need to make?  SRS is an ongoing assignment and is looking for 11 month total time (cumulative) at Hanford from the technicians.

What is the vacation policy?  You start accumulating vacation time when you start at SRS and continue to accrue time while at outages at a Bartlett site.  You are eligible for vacation benefits after 9 months on a prorated basis.  The vacation can only be paid while employed at Hanford or in transition to another Bartlett site. To accrue and maintain the vacation benefit, you must be continuously employed with Bartlett. Breaks of up to 2 weeks per transition are allowed toward continuous employment.

What about Health Insurance?  Bartlett pays an hourly health and welfare on top of the wages.  The health and welfare can be used to purchase one of Bartlett’s health insurance plans at full cost.  The money you get for health and welfare will cover any of the plans Bartlett currently offers while you are working.
