Welcome to San Onofre. San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station is located near San Clemente, California, just off US Interstate 5. Reaching San Onofre is easy, with access from the nearby communities only a few minutes away.
San Onofre Units 2 and 3 have been in continous operation since 1983, and are each rated at approxiately 1100 MWe in output.

DECON TECHNICIANS ONLY PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
The Returnee Decon staff report date has moved ahead one day. If you were sceduled to report on Jan. 4 and you are a Decon Tech, your report date has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. The Decon Staff report time is 2:00 p.m. at the Songs Mesa, and Decon will be trainining / processing on swing shift that week.
HP TECHNICIANS ONLY PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
The report date for returning HP Technicians remains January 4, 2012. The report time has changed to 2:00 p.m. at the Songs Mesa. The HP Staff will be processing / training on swing shift that week.
A new version of the PHQ form has been posted. Revision 16 of the SONGS PHQ is now the only valid form that will be accepted. Please discard any older forms you may have.
Updated Camp Mesa forms are now available on the site. Please send completed forms to SONGS, not the Plymouth office.

WHERE TO REPORT
On the assigned report date, arriving personnel must report to the SONGS "Central Processing Facility", located at the SONGS Mesa Facility.
Exit the I-5 Interstate Freeway at the Basilone Road - San Onofre exit. Turn toward the pacific ocean, and proceed along Old Pacific Coast Hiway 101 for approximately 1/4 mile. Turn right at the Mesa Road stoplight, and check in with the security officer stationed there (dayshift hours only). Follow the Mesa Road (and "new hire signs") until arriving at the Songs Mesa Area parking lots. The training/vistors' parking area will appear on the left. The Central Processing Facility is located across the street on the left hand corner of Building G-50.
NUF EXAM FOR HEALTH PHYSICS TECHNICIANS
SONGS requires ANSI 3.1 and ANSI 18.1 HP Technicians to acheive a passing score of 80% or greater. Junior HP Technicians are required to achieve a minimum score of 70%. NUF exams admisitered by other licensees must be recorded in PADS to be considered valid by SONGS.

WHAT TO WEAR AT WORK
SAFETY SHOES ARE REQUIRED AT SONGS. SAFETY SHOES MUST HAVE A COMPOSITE TOE AND HAVE A COMPRESSION AND IMPACT RATING OF 75.
BRING YOUR BARTLETT HARD HAT WITH YOU FROM YOUR LAST JOB.
NOTE: ONLY BARTLETT HARD HATS ARE ALLOWED AT SONGS - NO OTHER UTILITY'S HARD HATS ARE ALLOWED.
SONGS dress code requires that all personnel wear suitable attire at all times, including during in-processing and training periods.
Suitable attire consists of:
Certified Safety Shoes are required at all times. Shoes must meet ASTM standards.
Long pants or trousers, levis or denim is acceptable, and scrubs may be worn to and from work during the outage.
Please don't wear scrubs during inprocessing and training.
Shirts are to have sleeves. Tank tops are not to be worn.
Bring your PPE with you.
