Directions to Catawba Nuclear Plant from the North:

Take I-85 south to I-77 south thru Charlotte.

Exit at Carowinds Blvd. Exit to the right; continue straight passing the entrance to Carowinds. 

Go approx.  2 miles until you intersect with Hwy. 49 at traffic light.

Turn left on Hwy 49; Crown Gas Station should be on right when turning. Stay on Hwy 49 into S.C. thru Lake Wylie. At the traffic light, by Wendy’s, Burger King and Grocery Store Ctr. get in far left lane to continue on Hwy 49.

Hwy 49 will intersect with Hwy 274.

At North’s Grocery stay straight on Highway 274 (49 will go right).  Within a few miles you will see a sign indicating Catawba Nuclear Station- Energy Quest to the left.

Turn left on Concord Rd, go to the first entrance (Inprocessing, Shipping and Receiving) for Vendor access. Upon approaching the security cross arm, vendor parking will be on the right.

Directions to Catawba Nuclear Plant from the South:

Take I-77 North to Rock Hill, S.C.

Exit on 82A Cherry Rd. then exit on Hwy 161.  Continue west on Hwy 161 toward York.

At 2^nd red light, turn right onto Mt. Gallant Rd. Go approx. 8 miles to traffic light at Hwy 274.

Turn right at traffic light onto Hwy 274 go approx. 5 miles.

The access road to Catawba will be on the right and is called Concord Rd.  Go to the first entrance (shipping and receiving).  Upon approaching the security cross arm, vendor parking will be on the right.

Banking:

Bartlett has an agreement with Bank of America There is a local branch close to Catawba.  The office is located 4955 Charlotte Highway in Lake Wylie on Hwy. 49. (803) 831-8343. 

From the plant, turn right onto Hwy. 274.  At the intersection of Hwy. 274 and 49, turn right.  Continue on Hwy. 49 toward Lake Wylie approx 6 miles.  The bank will be on the left.  You may have to pay a minimal fee.
